TWICE has been in the news a lot in the past couple of days. The girl group recently made their comeback and have been promoting their new song “More & More”.
On Sunday, “SBS KPOP” uploaded the encore fancam of this week’s winner. TWICE took home the award for their new track. However, the video soon started to get a lot of attention on social media, because fans could hear a male voice speaking in the background during the encore.
It was difficult to make out what the voice was saying, but a fan translated the audio and said he heard: “They are really bad at singing.” TWICE fans were furious that an SBS staff member would make such comments and demanded that SBS apologize.
However, SBS was able to quickly clarify the misunderstanding and uploaded a video which proves that the fan clearly made a mistake. The sentence heard did not come from a staff member but from a commercial playing right after ‘Inkigayo‘. And what the fan interpreted as “They are really bad at singing,” was, in fact, “My intelligent image“.
