In the past couple of years, finding websites to watch kdramas has become much easier and safer. And with Netflix constantly developing new original Korean dramas and acquiring the rights to new shows, there is always something new to watch. So here is the list of 20 fantastic Kdramas on Netflix that you should watch now!

Crash Landing On You

This show is one of the most successful Kdramas on Netflix. Crash Landing on You tells the story of a South Korean heiress call Yoon Se Ri who ends up in North Korea by accident. She meets a North Korean officer named Ri Jung Hyuk who decides to help her hide while he looks for a solution to send her back to South Korea. They start to fall in love with each other. However, they know that their love is doomed since they belong to two countries that are enemies.

Itaewon Class

Itaewon class is a Netflix original series. It tells the story of a senior high school student called Park Sae Ro Yi who ends up getting into a fight with the son of a Chaebol after seeing him bully another student. Because Park Sae Ro Yi refuses to apologize to the son, his father who worked for the chaebol gets fired. When his father is killed in an accident caused by the same family who got him expelled and got his dad fired, he cannot contain his rage and gets into a fight with the Chaebol’s son again. He gets sent to jail but vows to get his revenge when he comes out.

The King: Eternal Monarch

The King: Eternal Monarch is one of the latest blockbuster Kdramas on Netflix. It is about an Emperor named Lee Gon who lives in the Kingdom of Korea, a parallel universe from modern-day South Korea. While on one of his routine escapades, he is propelled into the Republic of South Korean where he meets detective Jung Tae Eul. He then realizes that an evil force has opened a door between the two parallel worlds. He has to work with Jung Ta Eul to close the door. But how will closing the door affect their relationship since they belong to different worlds?

Because This is My First Life

This drama tells the story of what happens when a man who needs help paying his mortgage meets a woman who is homeless and looking for a cheap place to stay. Nam Se Hee is a successful app developer who bought a house but has a high mortgage that he would like to pay quickly. He wants to retire early and enjoy his life. He does not want to get married. He just wants a peaceful life with his cat. Yoon Ji Ho needs a cheap place to stay. She does not have a lot of money. They agree to live together but decide to do a fake marriage so that people do not question their living arrangements. Can they get divorced in 2 years as the contract stated without getting emotionally attached?

My Secret Romance

Cha Jin Wook usually is not interested in long term relationships. He is rich, handsome, and spoiled. They start having a push and pull relationship that may lead to them falling in love.

Kingdom

Kingdom is one of the few kdramas on Netflix that are already in English so you do not need to read any subtitles to follow along. The story is set in the Joseon period. When the king falls ill from smallpox, rumors start going around the palace that he is dead. The crown prince is accused of treason. He goes to Dongnae to find the physician who is in charge of treating his father to figure out what happened. But, what he finds will surprise him. A mysterious disease is killing the entire village and could spread throughout the kingdom.

But, everything changes one day when Bong Sun starts acting differently.

Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung

Goo Hae Ryung becomes an intern as a palace historian at a time when women are not allowed to hold such a position. Mr. Sunshine

He has to make a decision on what to do with that information.

Their lives start to become more complicated as they get involved in all the office intrigues.

Bring it On Ghost

Hospital Playlist is currently one of the best medical kdramas on Netflix. The drama tells the story of five doctors who became friends during their undergraduate year of college and have maintained their friendship for 20 years. They now work at the same hospital in different fields. The show follows their lives, their ups and downs, and their career. It was so good that a second season is already in the works.

The K2

  • Genre: Action, Suspense, Romance, Revenge

  • Cast: Ji Chang Wook, Im Yoon Ah, Song Yoon Ah, Jo Sung Ha, Kim Gab Soo

The K2 aired around 4 years ago, but I still recommend it because it is one of the best action Kdramas on Netflix. Kim Je Ha is a former mercenary soldier known as “K2″. He has to go into hiding after he is wrongly accused of killing his fiance while in Iraq. He gets back to Korea and gets hired as Choi Yoo Jin’s bodyguard. Even though she does not like Je Ha at first, she agrees to hire him because they have a common enemy, Park Kwan Soo. Je Ha is assigned to guard An Na who Choi Yoo Jin is keeping locked up but he stars to have feelings for her. When it comes time to show his loyalty, who will he choose? An Na or Choi Yoo Jin?

Another Miss Oh

  • Cast: Eric Mun, Seo Hyun Jin, Jeon Hye Bin, Ye Ji Won, Kim Ji Suk, Lee Jae Yoon

Another Miss Oh is one of the most underrated kdramas on Netflix. Since she has been in high school, Oh Hae Young has lived in the shadow of another girl who has the same name as hers. The other Oh Hae Young was prettier, smarter, and more popular. They even end up having the same career and working at the same company. And as if that was not enough, they are involved with the same man. Which Oh Hae Young will he choose in the end?

Chocolate

If you are into slow-paced shows, Chocolate might be the right drama for you. It is one of the few healing Korean dramas on Netflix. This drama tells the story of a man and woman who meet again in a hospice and together heal their past traumas while preparing meals for their patients. Lee Kang wanted to become a chef but he became a neurosurgeon. Moon Cha Young is a renowned chef. Lee Kang was the inspiration behind her desire to go into the cooking field.
